DMD, University of British Columbia
Dr. Shamji graduated from the prestigious University of British Columbia Dentistry program in 1982 with a DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree. She associated at an office in Vancouver until 1987 when she moved to Waterloo, Ontario. She has practiced dentistry at her current location in Conestoga Mall ever since. Her passion for dentistry and love for her community is evident through her numerous volunteer initiatives, both locally and overseas. She served on the Board of Directors for the Grand River Hospital Foundation for six years and served on the Board of the Abulcasis Dental Alliance for 7 years, both ending in 2013. She is also a member of the Ontario Dental Association (ODA), Waterloo-Wellington Dental Society (WWDS), the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Toronto Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
In her free time, Dr. Shamji loves to travel; however, these trips are not always for leisure. In January 2008, she traveled to Cambodia with the group “Kindness in Action” to provide dental care to those less fortunate and without access to adequate dental facilities. In the last two years, she has traveled to Tanzania, Africa numerous times with the Abulcasis Dental Alliance to help set up new dental clinics and enhance the quality of care provided by implementing sustainable and up-to-date protocols. These self-sustaining projects are affiliated with the AKDN (Aga Khan Development Network). In 2013 she made her way to Khorog, Tajikistan. During her time there she mentored the local dentists, did some volunteer work, as well as implemented office protocols including infection control protocol as per CDC to ensure the highest standards of care.
Dr. Shamji went back to Khorog in October of 2015 to continue her volunteer efforts and teach local dentists about the most up to date techniques and materials as well as ensure the progression of the clinic toward first world standards. In 2015 she also traveled to India where she visited a local seniors shelter as well as an orphanage for young girls to provide her expertise regarding the setup of a sustainable dental clinic and all protocols that would need to be put into place. Dr. Shamji also spent time in recent years completely renovating and updating Trillium Dental Centre with the most up-to-date equipment and modern decor. The goal of these changes has been to optimize the comfort of her patients and provide the absolute gold standard of dental care.

DR. GEORGE CARERE
DDS, University of Toronto
In 1995, Dr. Carere had the honour of being among the first 12 dental surgeons in the country to be accepted into a 1 year residency and trained to surgically place dental implants under the guidance of the world renowned Dr. George Zarb at the University of Toronto.
Passion, pride and a light touch are the words best suited to describe Dr. Carere’s abilities in the dental office. He enjoys working with people of all ages, satisfying all their dental needs, whether they be cosmetic or routine. He is well aware of just how important both a functional and aesthetic smile are to your well being. Dr. Carere is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons and the Ontario Dental Association, and knows that continuing dental education is an important part of providing the most up to date techniques for his patients.

DR. AADIL SHAMJI
DMD, Boston University
Aadil married in 2013 to his beautiful wife who he met while attending Western University in 2005. In 2017 they welcomed a baby boy into their family and they could not be happier! When he is not at the office or at home with his family, you can be sure he is either playing or watching sports! His favourites include tennis, squash, golf and hockey. Playing baseball for the City of Waterloo growing up, he earned 2 Ontario Baseball Association Championships. Aside from sports, he has strong aspirations of travelling abroad to establish more sustainable dental care in under served communities.
While Aadil enjoys practicing a broad range of procedures, he particularly loves working with children. He discovered this passion for children while rotating at a pediatric dental facility in Fort Myers, Florida during his dental education. Aadil is excited to be working at Trillium and looks forward to brightening smiles in his hometown!

DR. OIES HUSSEIN
DDS, Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry
In his spare time, Dr. Hussein enjoys exercising, in addition to playing basketball, soccer and golf. Growing up in a large family, including nine nieces and nephews, he also enjoys spending his time with his family and friends whenever possible.
Dr. Hussein is thrilled to be back in his hometown to work in this community. He enjoys practicing all aspects of dentistry, especially cosmetic dentistry and enjoys working with children. Dr. Hussein looks forward to helping patients achieve healthy and confident smiles.

DR. RIFAAN LALJI
Dr. Rifaan Lalji was raised in London, Ontario. He attended McMaster University where he completed his Bachelor of Health Sciences, graduating Sum-ma Cum Laude. He then attended Western University where he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. During his dental education Dr. Lalji was recognized for his excellence is Restorative Dentistry, receiving the Canadian Academy of Operative Dentistry award.
In his spare time when Dr. Lalji is not in the dental clinic, he can be found cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs, playing golf and spending time with friends and family.
Dr. Lalji enjoys connecting with his patients, creating an environment where they feel comfortable asking questions to understand the various procedures and treatment options. He is excited to continue providing excellent dental care and ensuring patients have access to the latest technologies and procedures by expanding his dental knowledge through Continuing Education courses. Dr. Lalji is excited to work alongside the talented Riverfront Dental team to provide patients with excellent oral health and exceptional patient service.
